My love affair with Norway started back when I first visited in 2010. I moved there a year later and stayed for four years before the strong Norwegian Kroner forced me to Germany (okay… it was a guy). I lived one year in Bergen and three years in Oslo, but I have visited nearly every corner of the Scandinavian country and am there several times a year.

I write as much content as I can about traveling in Norway because I genuinely love encouraging people to visit. Articles about Oslo, Bergen, and Tromsø help pay the bills, allowing me to share my adventures to lesser-known destinations, like the Varanger Peninsula (which is one of my favorite places in Norway).

I have long thought about how to break up the many articles I have about Norway into pages here, so I figured the best way to do it is to share by region, or ‘fylke’ as they call it in Norway. The 15 fylke in Norway are:

Just because I have visited a place doesn’t mean I have written about it, so many of these regions don’t have a lot (or any) guides yet. I live in Northern Finland, so Finnmark and Troms are close by, hence the number being a lot larger.
