  1. The Sip-n-Dip lounge in the O’Haire Motel in Downtown Great Falls is a must see Tiki lounge with actual mermaids (yes, mermaids! In the middle of Montana!) famous for being filmed in the original ‘Top Gun’ movie, among other things…listed as one of the top 100 places to see in the world…. Truly a hidden gem!

  2. Actually there are five falls that encompass the Great Falls of the Missouri River. Three of them are now dams and one has been buried behind one of the dams.

  3. There is history in North East Montana that is rarely told since scenery often times is not green and far away from large cities. It is the largest Earthen filled dam in the world and home of the Montana Governors Cup Walleye Fishing tournament. The Dam was built as Part of Roosevelt’s New Deal plan during the depression, an interpretation center, dinosaur history and more. Friendly people and wildlife refuge.

    1. So interesting actually – this morning I was chatting about taking a road trip from the Dakotas through eastern MT to explore a bit further! Definitely will add this to my list! Thanks!

  4. International Sculpture park about 45 miles NW of Helena is a hidden gem! Oh and triple divide peak/pass in glacier is a treat -water could flow 3 ways! You did well tho😃
