  1. Great overview of transport options from Bergen Airport! Quick question: between the light rail and the airport express coach, which do you find more reliable during peak hours? Thanks for sharing your personal tips!

    1. Hi Ingrid! I always take the light rail because it runs on a schedule and *shouldn’t* end up with traffic issues! I guess I would just make sure the day before that there is no construction or issues on the lines there. The Bybanen also runs like every 10 minutes or so during the day, so if you happen to miss one, another should show up quickly. Have a great trip :)

    1. Sorry for the delayed reply (just saw a bunch of comment lost in queue on here and I am SO sorry). Going to reply now anyway even though you’ve probably already taken your trip. I hope this can help a future traveler.

I have not personally seen them at the Bergen Airport. But, you can purchase online before your trip https://shop.visitbergendigital.com/

  2. Hi Megan – so happy I found your blog. Going to Bergen in April for conference at VID; will have a large suitcase and carry-on bag. Looks like light rail and bus are limited to 20-30kg luggage? Any suggestions? Plan to use light rail for all my in-country traveling. Staying at CitiBox Danmarksplass.

    1. Oh I am so embarrassed I am just now seeing this comment as it has been sitting in an unapproved area for some reason?! The light rail is fine for this amount of luggage. I’m pretty sure that is what I usually have (if not more!). The light rail will go from the airport to Danmarks Plass (and it is like a 2-minute walk from there to Citybox).

I know your trip has long since passed, but I am answering in case it helps someone else.
