  1. Long Grove Illinois ! Strawberry festival and apple days. It has a beautiful covered bridge, and lots of little shops and delicious restaurants too.

  2. You should go to Arthur Illinois. It’s Amish heritage is very interesting to explore. Wonderful foods, bakeries, homemade crafts and beautiful Amish made furniture. The restaurant’s are always yummy with many shops and goodies to take home.

    1. All true, and don’t forget the Great Pumpkin Patch just outside Arthur a few miles. Open early September until late October…weekend entertainment and food are usually available available. Corn maze, hay bale maze, scads of different pumpkin and gourd varieties….not to be missed!

  3. Yes you review of 16 small towns in IL shouldn’t count because your only looking at towns in or near Chicago and northern areas you didn’t even get to the southern part of Illinois

    1. Please let us know some of your favorites in the south! I havenʻt had a chance to explore too much down there and hoping to this summer!
