Kostanay, Kazakhstan: Spending Winter in ‘Almost’ Siberia

Kostanay, Kazakhstan is almost Siberia.  Almost.  It lies very close to the Russian border and in the northern Kazakh steppe.  There is nothing for miles and miles…and miles…and miles.
