Hydra is a relatively small island, and you can’t even take a car to the place, making the main port the ideal location to stay when you arrive on the Saronic island.

While it is a small Greek island, there are still a variety of accommodation options available!

Many people visit Hydra on a day trip but I highly recommend staying overnight and enjoying the nightlife after dark!

1. Douskos Port House

Douskos Port House is a fantastic option if you’re wondering where to stay in Hydra. It’s located in the main town, just a short walk from the port and Avlaki Beach. 

With only 6 rooms to choose from, Douskos Port House offers an intimate getaway, so you won’t have to worry about the crowds.

Each room is spacious and modern, but the Junior Suite with sea views is my top pick! 

This suite sleeps up to 3 adults and boasts striking views, a comfortable lounge area, a private bathroom, a work desk, and a flat-screen TV.

Although there aren’t many facilities on-site, you’ll be staying in a great location. The staff can also help with organizing massages, laundry, and room service.

2. Delfini Hotel 

Delfini Hotel is another popular option located in the town of Hydra. This family-run hotel embraces traditional Greek architecture and is just a short walk from the port, so you’ll be staying in a central location. 

Thanks to the hotel’s whereabouts, you’ll be treated to scenic harbor views from the property’s large veranda, as well as some of the rooms.
