  1. The Divi Carina Bay is now open! Also Sorbetiere locally owned and operated homemade ice cream in Christiansted. Zip lining, some fantastic air bnb on the East End Mt. Washington was sold but lovely owners. They offer free yoga.

  2. Sandcastle on the Beach definitely should make your list of places to stay. It’s the best place on the island and we visit every year. The beach is perfect and the sunsets even better. But it’s the owners and staff that make you feel like family that makes all the difference in the world. Hey be made beautiful upgrades in the last 5 years and it’s just the perfect little oasis.

  3. I’ve been to Christiansted twice and enjoyed Hotel on the Cay. No mention of them but it is pictured in one of the pics at the Fort.

  4. I lived in Saint Croix starting in 1975. I’m not asking that you re create that ERA but,, your site does not promote the real Saint Croix. The island has a synergy of true Local flavor, and U.S. that should not be compromised on “Cruise ship day”. Don’t sell out. Talk T.J. into reopening the Villa Morales. Reopen the Golden Cow. The Donut Shop in Frederiksted by the laundry. Island Dairy with Coconut Ice cream. Rainbow Beach club in Frederiksted. Market it properly and you may preserve what keeps St. Croix special to non commercial tourists despite that they’re only on island for the day.

    1. Thanks so much for the comments :) I think travelers never fully get a ‘real taste’ of anywhere until they have lived there (I’m saying this as someone who has lived abroad for over a decade!) Thanks for some tips there! It is always great to have a local’s POV on things and some recommendations the average traveler would otherwise miss!
