  1. You fit right in with the beautiful girls you beautiful girl! Binge drinking is the way here in New Zealand too, and drink driving (drunk driving for us North American folk) is tolerated and not seen as a big deal, it’s seen as something everyone does in their life. But they are trying to make it that anyone under20 can’t have alcohol, I still don’t know the legal age, I’m 32 and they card me non-stop… not that I’m complaining ;)

  2. Good job on the post. It can be difficult to decide whether to write a post like this. It would be more controversial for me to write about it here. There are a lot of people from SA who are bitter about the country and question why we would even move here. The “expat forums” for SA tend to be very negative about living here (the crime mostly) and the people here. I actually would have minor complaints (like personal space issues, a “me first mentality”…not too bad, like you said, you get used to the culture)

  3. Interesting perspective. I kind of feel the same way about Danes. Except they don’t seem to binge drink much, and younger people don’t really buy homes. I suppose being Scandinavian though, the two countries are bound to have lots of similarites. All the beauty and exceptional fashion sense can be kind of intimaditng for me though. I love to watch it, but never really feel I live up to it.
