  1. Such an interesting post, thanks for writing. I used to live in Norway, I absolutely hate it, it sucks so much in so many ways, but it’s good to see a balanced opinion.
Do you really think their public transportation is any good? I moved to Switzerland, where everything works very well, while in Norway they seem to have no idea about organizing it. (TBH, they hardly ever seem to have a good idea about organizing anything, except for bans and pointless meetings.) It is ridiculous that a country composed of largely independent cantons could invent a single annual fee for virtually all of transportation across the whole country—trains, buses, boats, cable cars, what not—while the centrally governed Norway is absolutely incapable of coming any close to it, even locally.
Funny you mention healthcare. They seem to have very modern equipment, but little competence and will to use it, not to mention empathy.
Food… not worth discussing. Just shit.
And you’re right that people with little education will find their paradise there, while years of study will likely bring you disappointment in your income afterwards. Not to mention that the education system in Norway just sucks.

  2. Very helpful! I was really happy to find this. I was disappointed however, when you decided to single out vegans as being difficult or picky. Thanks for your experience. Soon I would like to move there. And your video helped me see a little more than what other sites say!

    1. Sorry about that! This was initially written in 2012 (and I was pretty much a vegan for a duration of time when writing this so I def didn’t mean to offend!) :) Good luck!

  3. Hello,
