  1. I am saddened to hear about the quality of the food. I lived in the Stavanger area in the early eighties for three years. I found nothing wrong with the food. They was an ample supply of fresh fish, there was a butcher shop nearby with a butcher who had worked for Safeway in Canada and he cut meat for us the North American way, even made American style hot dogs for us. When not buying there, the pork and lamb in the grocery stores were fine. the chicken, not as much. It tasted a bit fishy because of what they were fed. Our produce came from Spain mostly and it was fresh. I found fruits and veggies I hadn’t known of before and tried them. I bought local produce in the summer and froze things. There was an import store in Stavanger that satisfied our taste for most things American.

  2. You people that think the US is so bad are nuts. I read one comment where the imbecile said the US was a police state…ha…nothing is further from the truth. There is NO country like the US. Every country has it’s ups & downs but America, the beautiful is the greatest.

    1. This post was not about the US. But since you mention it… America may be beautiful, but it’s a shithole. Pray to the God that is supposed to bless it that you don’t get shot tomorrow. At least that is not a worry in Norway.
