Aram & Megan
Welcome to our site! I started this blog in 2010 as a way to document my experience traveling around the world and preparing for an impending move to Norway. I used it as an outlet to convey my thoughts about expat life… and rant about dark, Norwegian winters. Shortly after, it turned into a place where I could share my other passions, such as craft beer, concrete, and coffee. I started writing about other places like Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia… and quickly realized that others shared the same affinity for the ‘East’ as I did.
I turned my site into a business at the end of 2017 and it was the best decision I ever made. Unfortunately, I try to do too much with little manpower and struggled to grow this site the way I wanted it. Fast forward to early 2018 when I met Aram in Yerevan, Armenia.
Aram and I met through a mutual friend and quickly realized that our goals aligned and we have a lot in common when it comes to travel and encouraging others to travel. We began working on an Armenia travel website and soon realized that we should partner together on this site as well. Bringing him on board has been wonderful and motivating for me.
Our goal with this site is to bring a lot of travel guides and stories from our travels around the world. His language skills (Armenian, English, and Russian) will help us to find the best information out there for the respective regions that we cover on this site and I am so happy and grateful to have a partner through this all. Thanks for your support and we are stoked to have you here!
