Three Ships Coffee Roasters

Three Ships Coffee Roasters is one of the best-reviewed cafes in Virginia Beach! Just a few blocks from the coastline, this is a perfect place to grab a snack and a coffee before or after a long day relaxing on the beach.

The owners, Brad and Amy, are cool people who pay great attention to detail – they even do all the roasting in-house for coffee purity!

You can find Three Ships Coffee Roasters at 607 19th Street in the ViBe Creative District in Virginia Beach. They also have a coffee shop in Norfolk (and a second one in VA Beach).

For more information, visit their Website.

Food? All Day, Brunch

Laptop-Friendly? Yes, they have free wi-fi. However, the tables are somewhat small and space is limited, so a long time spent working there isn’t exactly optimal.

Bad Ass Coffee

Bad Ass Coffee is another great cafe in Virginia Beach! This relaxing coffee shop brings you a taste of Hawaii right in Virginia.

They serve mainly Hawaiian blends straight from the islands. The best part is that it isn’t just straight coffee, they also do cold brews, espressos, AeroPress, and more. Come enjoy a great cup of coffee on the patio!

You can visit them at 619 18th St in Virginia Beach. For more information, visit their Website.

Food? All Day, Brunch

Laptop-Friendly? While I didn’t try the WiFi, it is still a great place to enjoy a great cup of coffee and your favorite book.

Roast Rider Coffee & Tea

Roast Rider is perfect for the coffee connoisseur. Not only do they talk about the country of origin, but they also delve so much deeper into the coffee-drinking experience.

They talk about everything from the elevation and micro-lots to artisan blends. These guys really know their stuff. In addition to great coffee, they also serve great tea and food from local partners!

You can find them at 1554 Laskin Rd #116 in Virginia Beach. For more information, visit their Website.

Food? All Day, Desserts, vegan options, and more.  Be sure to try their Boujee Bento Boxes for super healthy and fresh food on the fly that is exclusive only to Roast Rider.

Also don’t forget to indulge in their housemade, organic lavender syrup that can be found in the Lil’ Wayne Chicken Salad (what a name- I am SOLD).

Laptop-Friendly? WiFi is available and free! Just be aware that space is limited as the tables are not the biggest.

Java Surf

Java Surf is a breakfast and lunch cafe in Virginia Beach that serves amazing coffee. The whole place is surf-themed and has a very chill vibe.

They offer quite a bit from old-school cappuccinos and lattes to new wave macchiatos and flat whites, as well as a pretty hearty menu of breakfast and lunch favorites.

One of the best parts: they use local and organic produce when they can and have a health-conscious menu! Eat and caffeinate away!

This is definitely a must-see coffee shop in Virginia Beach and the perfect place to hang up your surfing wetsuits to dry while you sip on a bit of delicious coffee!

You can find them at 1807 Mediterranean Ave in Virginia Beach.

Food? All Day, Breakfast and Lunch

Laptop-Friendly? WiFi is available but I recommend focusing on the coffee and food instead of working because their menu is delicious!

Lynnhaven Coffee Company

Lynnhaven Coffee Company is a higher-end cafe. Think European bistro making an appearance in Virginia Beach. They offer a wide variety of coffee drinks as well as a few teas.

You can pair your coffee with one of their many specialties, like the Gravlax Plate or a Caprese Panini.

Another thing that makes this Virginia Beach coffee shop unique is that they have their own dedicated roasting facility located only a few blocks away from their building.

You can find them at 2945 Shore Dr in Virginia Beach. For more information, visit their Website.

Food? All Day, Brunch

Laptop-Friendly? Free WiFi is available and they have decent-sized tables for working.

Culture Coffee and Tea Bar

Culture Coffee and Tea Bar is a locally owned coffee shop in Virginia Beach that prides itself on being hip and third-wave.

They offer everything from drip and iced drip coffees to all of the espresso favorites. That’s not all! They even have smoothies and teas.

My favorite pairing is a latte with a strawberry-topped and cream cheese drizzled waffle. If that doesn’t suit your fancy, they have a variety of sandwiches available as well!

You can find them at 1314 Kempsville Road in Virginia Beach.

Food? All Day, Brunch

Laptop-Friendly? Free WiFi is available but there is limited table space. If you are fine working with your laptop on your lap, then you’re golden.

Cafe Moka

Cafe Moka is a coffee lover’s dream. They have a huge drink selection that includes the standard drip coffee to specialty drinks.

My personal favorite was their Toasted S’More Latte. The vibe is very relaxed making it a great place to catch up with friends or get a little reading done.

You can find them at 1000 Regent University Drive in Virginia Beach. For more information, visit their Website.

Food? None

Laptop-Friendly? Great, quiet place to work and take advantage of some free WiFi!

Pourfavor

Pourfavor is a unique hidden gem that Kayla and I stumbled upon during our adventure in Virginia Beach. It was a great experience overall and I got to try a variety of coffees with their Coffee Flight.

It was a great choice for my moment of indecision because it comes with four different coffees that I got to pick. Another huge perk is that they offer adult beverage options for people over 21. The actual atmosphere was very hip and modern.

The employees were warm and friendly. The best part was that it was quiet even when the cafe got busy!

You can find them at 5705 Lynnhaven Pkwy Ste 108 in Virginia Beach. For more information, visit their Facebook Page.

Food? All day, Breakfast and Sandwiches

Laptop-Friendly? Tons of table space to take advantage of the free WiFi, and quiet enough to get some work done!

Town Center Cold Pressed prides itself on maintaining balance to promote a healthy lifestyle. Since I strive to live that healthy lifestyle, I had to see what this place was all about.

I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did this place offer coffee, but they also had so much more from healthy food options to protein shakes and smoothies.

I tried the Macchiato Latte with their Chicken and Waffles. I was in heaven! When we decide to go back to Virginia Beach, this will definitely be on our list of stops.

With a casual, trendy atmosphere and a great menu, there is no passing it up.

You can find them at 168 Central Park Ave in Virginia Beach. For more information, visit their Website.
