Located 164 feet from the Ruins of Herculaneum, 7cento Vesuviano is located in Ercolano in a 18th century building, 10 minutes by car from the Vesuvio National Park.
The ruins were fantastic. There is also the Teatro Antico, which is still underground. We missed out on this as we didn't find out about it until we got there. They only admit small groups at a time and it was fully booked. Tickets are available from the Herculaneum entrance or on the Ticket One website, so you really need to book on advance. There is a virtual Archaeological museum in the town. This includes a short 3D film about Vesuvius, the opportunity to fly a virtual drone and a VR experience of walking round one of the palace gardens. Ideal for kids and teens! The museum is screen based about Herculaneum ruins and does not include actual discoveries from the site.
For visiting the surrounding areas, trains into Naples are regular, as are trains to Pompeii (but you have to change - the ticket man didn't tell us this!). Don't miss the chance to wander round the actual town of Pompei. It was beautiful! In fact, next time I would choose to stay there over Ercolano or Naples!

My grandchild suggests we would have been better staying in Pompeii and travelling to Ercolano one day. I had decided to follow what my neighbour suggested, based on taking a younger child to southern Italy.

We spent one night in Ercolano to visit the ruins of Herculaneum and break up our trip to the Amalfi Coast. The ruins are a must-see and you can experience authentic Naples pizza at RO.VI. We also enjoyed espresso and drinks at the Herculaneum Cafe. I'm not sure what you'd do here for more than a day or two, but the ruins and authentic cuisine were definitely worth our time!

The apartment was very nice and people of Ercolano very friendly. They really drive like crazy, but that is their way of life. Train station is really near the apartment and best option to reach Napoli, Pompei, Sorrento...

A spectacular place if you are interested in Roman history around the eruption of Vesuvius. There is plenty to see and the remains of Ercolano are in very ggod condition considering it was buried almost 2,000 years ago. Well worth a visit

Ercolano is a small town nearby Vesuvio, which can be seen...
Ercolano is a small town nearby Vesuvio, which can be seen from most everywhere, Naples bay also is lovely and is seen from most of the places in the town. You can easily find nice fish, pizza, fast food and traditional local restaurants in 10-15 min walk. There is a nice but small botanical garden in the territory of the local university. They also have a park of mandarins/tangerines which you can pick up for free.
The ruins of Ercolano/Herculaneum exceeded our expectations! It is not overcrowded as Pompei, the territory you can walk through in 1-1.5 hours, moreover, some buildings are in better condition ... we liked it.
The hotel is located in XVIII century house with a charming park, lemon trees, palms, fountain. Rooms are big with tall painted ceiling and old style doors with electronic keys :). The train station is in 10 min walk, then you can get to centre of Napoli or Pompei in 20 min. The ruins of Ercolano are also 10 min walk (exceeded our expectations). Furthermore, there are plenty of small excellent restaurants nearby. Also, on request, you can get a private taxi driver to get you anywhere you need (airport or Vesuvio) for 45-50 eur.
The hotel is quite new and beautifully designed and styled. The garden is large, green and peaceful with a refreshing pool. The brothers who own the place are very attentive. One of them took the time to help us reserve tickets to visit Vesuvius and we got some tips for nice restaurants in the area. The hotel is a 20 min drive from Vesuvius and 10 min from the Herculaneum archeological site. Breakfast was a selection of delicious local and homemade sweets, but on request we also got some fruit and eggs.
A fantastic apartment; newly refurbished, fully equipped and spotlessly clean. Emanuele was a brilliant host; really helpful and friendly. The location is great - tucked away in the heart of Ercolano, but close to the ruins of Herculaneum, and a short walk to either the small beach or the station for trains to Pompeii or Naples. We had a lovely stay and would thoroughly recommend. Just be aware that parking would be difficult if you were to drive and there are steps up to the apartment.
Very clean facility, accommodating host, useful information on sightseeing.
Mr. Libberatto clearly loves doing this kind of job, warm person, very open to us.
In only a few days because the train station was near the house we were able to visit a lot.
Nearby fruit booth, store, caffé, pizzeria and restaurant with good food (Casa in Campania).
Besides Vesuvius, Pompei etc. I recommend in Ercolano: Herculaneum (Ercolano Scavi), Palazzo dei Corali.
Staff is amazing and in general Italians are amazing !!!
Our host Pepe told us everything and give us a lot of advices.
Rooms were super comfortable and cosy !!!
From house to the beach is 5-7 minutes by walk .
From ercolano its easy to go to Naples, Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and of course to Vesuvio !
Super critics from me and wish the best to the property !!!

Forza Napoli! Forza Kvara !🇬🇪
The rooms were clean and comfortable.
There was air conditioning, very important if you visit during summer.
Also the breakfast was included and served at the nearby restaurant, it was good.
It is close to the public transport and the Ercolano ruins.
If you need there's a parking nearby but that's not included in the price of course.
When you arrive you have to pay 2 euros extra per person for the City tax.
Great location to visit Naples, Hereculum, Pompei as well as Sorrento. While at the same time enjoying being on the (rocky) beach with great views of Naples Bay. From the hotel we could walk to Hereculum and to the train station where we tried visiting Naples first. But we found it was more convenient to drive to Naples and head right to a parking garage.
Martina and her mother were very friendly and inviting. Martina provided us with a map of many local restaurants and attractions. They were available to answer any questions we had. Having a near by beach to walk to and see the sunset was an added bonus. Would definitely book this location again.
Cheerful owner, nice patio, good restaurants nearby, and very close to the archeological site. It's also a reasonable distance to the train station, but be sure to get off at Ercolano Scavi, not Ercolano Miglia d'oro. The distance is the same, but the latter is more complicated.
The house is so nice, clean, and just perfect for our stay. The place are near the train station and to grocery store, restaurants, bars, market and to the tourist spots. The host are very accommodating and nice. The people in the area were nice and happy people.
The place is just in perfect location, all amenities within the apartment "train station, Vesuvios express, restaurants, Herculaneum ruins". The owner Alessandro was very kind to give us some tips and helped us in everything we asked about the nearby locations.
The super hosts Francesco and Carmela made the stay amazing.
The location is very nice with a view of the distant sea on one side and the volcano on the other. Herculaneum, Pompeii, Napoli and Vesuvius are within short reach by car. Restaurants nearby.
The place was very nice and clean. The view of Naples from the location is amazing. Emilia, the owner, is very accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. This is the first time in Italy we had eggs for breakfast. We highly recommend this place.
Spacious room (suite). Good to escape the heat with the family without being stuck in a usual small hotel room. Special environment with the wall paintings etc. Walking distance to train stations & Herculaneum ruins.
If you want to live few days in the south of Italie, go to Antonio's guest house. Thank you dear Antonio, we where at home in your beautiful house
100 mètres far from Ercolano SCAVI ....
