Ulvik is a jewel that we really discovered by chance.
Ulvik is a jewel that we really discovered by chance. Two nights was simply not enough. We met the most amazing and friendly people. The staff in the tourist information shop were so good. They were locals and knew the social and cultural history. An amazing stay.
Strand Hotel staff were super helpful.
Very Silent and Peaceful location.
I just could not get enough of the view.
It had an apple tree outside our Balcony.
Dinner was Super expensive, I will not say no, but the chef is top.
Always ask for a Table Fan which will be given to you on request, as u will need 1 for slight air circulation in the room….coz u will need to shut the windows coz of the outside noise and mosquitoes sometimes.…or else u might feel stuffy or sweaty in the middle of the night…..this is a tip to be used in the whole of Norway.
- Authentic Ulvik guesthouse decoration, feels like in the countryside the room décor
- warm and kind staff, makes you feel at home. As a guesthouse should be. Instead of cold comercial hotel's
- beautiful location

- support local farmers
Thank you soo much. Can't wait to return
Is a funny hotel on a quiet place. The room was large, the hotel is old, everything in wood what I liked (I think it has more them 70 years) and the staff was very welcome. It is placed on the front of the fiord, where you can take a small walk.
Have a small gaming room, football table and ping-pong which is good on a rainy day. The breakfast was good for the Hotel
Fantastic location with a Fjord view from the room location. On arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful with a young gentleman giving a guided tour of the hotel and the facilities. The views from the hotel are spectacular and provide an elevated view across the Fjord. Walking distance to the Ulvik pier and centre area and a short walk to the local store.
The staff were really nice and polite; the facility was old but the internet was fast. The view from the room was fantastic however there was no AC in the room which is common in Norway. I rented bicycles and Kayaks from a store which was five minute walk away from the hotel. Overall a small town with friendly people and amazing views.
Good location at the fjord in Ulvik, close to the center. We had a family room with a balcony on the river side. It was nice to sleep with a soothing river sound. The room was clean and the bed soft and comfortable. The breakfast was fine, croissants were super tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Was surprised there was a hot tub and an inflatable trampoline in the fjord, and kayaking right from the hotel. We would've stayed an extra day if we'd known. Even now, we're thinking to return from the US next year and spend more time. The view was gorgeous from our fjord-facing room with balcony.
I enjoyed the quiet location, the outdoor sauna with a spectacular view, great personnel with a friendly attitude, and extremely tasty food in the restaurant :-) I had the pleasure of enjoying the scenic tour of the Wine storage. Lovely place indeed
the included breakfast was a pleasant surprise, nothing very fancy but the basics and enough to satisfy; the location and view were wonderful; beds were comfortable; old elevator was cool, especially for our kids; nice family who operated the hotel
Nice hotel with comfy beds and beautiful landscape, size of family room and bath good. Staff very friendly. Facilities with good options close to sentrum and perfect breaksfast with good taste. All was great.
Such a beautiful property with incredible views, comfy rooms, and friendly staff. One of our favorite parts was the dinner at the hotel restaurant where we tried local food that was beautifully prepared.
The location is absolutely gorgeous, the rooms were nice and simple.
Breakfast was good, not too much variance, but considering it's a small hotel - it's as expected.
Beautiful position over the fjord and the staff were very friendly. The small town had all one could want and the hotel had activities on and in fjord’s surroundings
Location very good.staff very pleasent,helpful.views,scenery,excellent.very relaxing hotel.price, worth the money.good hotel for families and for old people.
Excellent hotel, very cozy and charming. The rooms open directly to the fjord, and there's even a small beach outside the hotel.
We felt at home there.
